Type of service: Diagnostic services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
Forms part of an in-patient Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people within the region who have significant psychiatric presentations that warrant hospital admission. Currently patients between the ages of 12-18 are admitted following acceptance of a referral by their community CAMHS team or in an emergency, the out of hours doctor. The service is working towards achieving Autism Accreditation.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, professions involved: Clinical psychology, psychiatry, speech and language therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, dietician,family therapy, teaching.
