Partners in Advocacy provides individual and group advocacy to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and other additional support needs in Edinburgh (Head Office) and the Lothians, Glasgow and Dundee. In Edinburgh the service offers short-term advocacy for adults with learning disabilities and individuals with physical disabilities, brain injury and Asperger syndrome. Citizen, short-term and self-advocacy in Edinburgh is available for children and young people with additional support needs. Also available in Edinburgh is advocacy for children and young people (11-21 yrs) who use or have used mental health services. East Lothian provides short term advocacy and collective advocacy for adults with learning disabilities. In Midlothian short term advocacy for adults with learning disabilities is offered. All offices are wheelchair accessible and all advocates are volunteers. The organisation receives funding from a range of statutory and non-statutory sources.
