Peaks and Dales Advocacy

Main information

Type of service: Advocacy (general)

Peaks and Dales Advocacy mostly provide one to one advocacy support to people who refer themselves or are referred. These are disabled people; older people; people with mental health needs; and people with learning difficulties. Advocacy, in the main, is issue based, although some citizen advocacy partnerships also exist. In addition to one to one work a number of self-advocacy initiatives are supported and Peaks and Dales are members of a number of forums that encourage and promote service-user and citizen voices.
