We offer services in education and learning, health and social well-being, independent living, recreation, advice and support to people aged 5 upwards with learning difficulties and disabilities. Some of our customers have other conditions such as mental health problems, communications problems, physical disabilities, Asperger syndrome and Dyslexia. Services include: .
- Play In Action offers four hours short breaks for children and young people with disabilities aged 8 to 13 and their siblings.
- Positive Futures friendship group for 18-25 year olds, which meets fortnightly on Wednesday evenings in city-centre venues. Learners are supported to learn how to use city centre leisure facilities safely and to organise group activities.
- Take Heart Project - sessions focus on self esteem and confidence, giving the right information about relationships to ensure that they understand can keep themselves and other people safe from harm.
- Supported employment - we actively work to enable our customers to access work placements, volunteering and employment.
- Training for parents with learning disabilities.
