PEP Talk is a 5 session block of early intervention designed to develop your child's communication, language and learning. It teaches you strategies to help you to continue to facilitate your child's development and support their learning everyday. Who for?: PEP Talk is suitable for children 5 and under who have a diagnosis of autism, those who have been referred for an autism assessment and for families concerned about their child's communication and learning development. Sessions will be tailored to meet your child's individual needs, and support them in achieving their targets. Expertise: PEP Talk is led by a Highly Specialised Speech and Language Therapist (SLT). Laura (SLT) is also a Qualified Teacher, Sensory Integration Therapist and Feeding Therapist with knowledge in Makaton Signing, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Attention Autism, Toilet Training and Behaviour Management. The Programme: An initial 45 minute one-to-one home visit in which we can assess your child's needs and work together to set targets. 5 x 45 minute play based small group sessions with each session focusing on a different theme essential for developing communication skills. There will be a maximum of 6 children in the group. Children will learn in a specialised sensory environment. A learning profile for your child which you can share with other professionals to provide them with information on how to support your child to learn and develop. Where?: With the support of Arsenal Football Club's Community Hub, PEP Talk will be held within their specialised sensory room. The service can make home visits.

Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist. The professional bodies she belongs to are: Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
