Main information
Type of service: Day schools, Residential schools, Schools
Pield Heath House is a non-maintained co-educational school for children and young people with special educational needs between the ages of 7 and 19 years, judged 'Outstanding' by Ofsted at our last three inspections. We offer day, residential and short-break provision for children and young people with moderate to severe complex learning needs and associated speech, language and communication difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders (ASD). All of our places are local authority funded and therefore referrals are made, in the first instance, by the student’s Local Authority. Referrals and admissions can occur throughout the year and at any age. Our approach to learning is collaborative, multi-disciplinary, individualised and holistic. The provision is flexible and tailored to optimise individual rates of progress and attainment and encourages the development of confident, well adjusted, sensitive and independent young people.
