Pilkington, R. Isobel (Mrs)
Main information
Type of service: Educational Psychologists (independent)
The name of the service is Psychology4Education and this is part of I.P. Consultancies. The service offers full diagnostic assessments by Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) chartered educational psychologists. We use standardised assessment tools, observation (structured and unstructured) and information from parents, teachers and carers. We advise on school placement and are experienced in SENDIST (Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal) reporting. We assess all specific learning difficulties, not just autism spectrum disorders. Most people on the spectrum have some degree of co-morbid learning difficulty and these need to be assessed and specified.
We are able to make home visits; visit a client's nursery, school or college; provide independent expert reports; and, attend tribunals/educational appeal committees.
