Formerly known as "The Portsmouth Parent Partnership Service" Portsmouth Information, Advice and Support Service offers parents and carers living in the PO1 -PO6 postcode area free, confidential and impartial information and advice about their child's Special Educational Needs (SEN).
They have a small team of Parent Partnership Advisors (PPAs) who have experience of working with parents, early years settings, schools, colleges, Local Authority and other professionals on SEN issues.
They can:
• take the time to listen to you and your concerns
• provide you with a range of impartial information and advice on SEN
• identify additional services or organisations that may be able to help you
• assist you with paperwork
• in certain situations, accompany you to meetings with other professionals, if appropriate
• if you need more information contact them to talk about your particular issue and they will call you back to discuss your concerns.
