Positive Autism Support and Training (PAST) offers bespoke programmes for children with autism and other associated disorders. Their consultants use a combination of applied behaviour analysis (ABA), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Positive Behaviour Management. They use a target lead model which helps children and empowers their parents. PAST works with families and schools and can also provide support with areas such as disability living allowance (DLA) and statements. They can provide independent expert reports, make home visits or visit a client's nursery school or college and attend tribunals/educational appeal committees. They work with children of all ages and abilities and children do not need a diagnosis for PAST to work with them. The team also consists of an Occupational Therapist (OT) and Speech and Language Therapist. They offer a Life Skills based OT programme. PAST also runs monthly coffee mornings for parents to listen, share and meet other parents who have similar circumstances. They also arrange outside speakers on a range of subjects. The meetings take place at West Horsley Village Hall..
