Training is provided for those who live and work with autistic people including parents, professionals, and persons on the autism spectrum. The training is personalised to individual needs and uses the visual and cultural strengths of those on the autistm spectrum. We use visual information to teach clarity and understanding and work to empower and enable with our training. It is very practical and leaves the trainee with real and achievable strategies to try and the confidence and understanding of why they are likely to be successful. I have a University of Birmingham certificate in Autism and a certificate in teaching and learning in further education. I have had 23 years of experience working with children and adults on the Autism Spectrum in a number of residential, educational, and community settings, and have worked for a local authority delivering specialist autism training. Our organisation will deliver training in-house and often within the environment or setting. It is important that, wherever possible, part of the training experience is within the environment where the individual on the autistm spectrum lives and/or works.
