I am qualified to assess and support autistic spectrum difficulties at a high level. I have studied assessment techniques at The Autism Research Centre, Cambridge and I use instruments such as the Autism Diagnostic Interview, Revised (ADI-R) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2 (ADOS 2), the Social Stories Questionnaire, and Asperger syndrome measures. I also look at functioning levels and how the child copes within their environment. I update my assessment techniques on a regular basis. I am trained in the Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support (SCERTS) R Model, an educational model for working with parents and children and designed to help families, educators and therapists work together cooperatively as a team. It leads the child towards the improvement of social communication while preventing problem behaviours that interfere with learning and the development of relationships. Psychological Services has access to Occupational Therapist, Teachers and Parent Support Worker. Another disability catered for by ther service are specific learning difficulties..
