Purple Therapies

Main information

Type of service: Outreach - education

Purple Therapies are based in and around Bristol and provide home based education for children, young people and adults with special educational needs (SEN), developmental delays and disorders (including autism and speech, language and communication disorders). We use evidence based methods such as verbal behaviour (VB) and applied behaviour analysis (ABA) alongside our experience and intuition to create a unique curriculum for each student which primarily focuses on developing skills which are functional to the student in their day to day lives and for the future. Our aim is to make learning an enjoyable experience with emphasis placed on building and maintaining positive relationships and in assisting students to achieve this for themselves. Our individual education programmes are designed to promote self esteem and independence and to help our students to reach their potential in every aspect of their lives. Other disabilities catered for by the service are sensory processing difficulties and communication disorders.
