Astrid van Wilsem is a senior Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in working with children and young people with autism and their parents. She is trained in using the ADI and individual autism assessments. She offers tailor-made interventions for young children through supporting and educating their parents. When working with older children and young people she use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy amongst other methods. She is able to make home visits and visit a client's nursery, school or college.

Registrations & Approaches

Specialisms: Has autism-specific elements, Staff and volunteers get autism awareness training

Other specialisms: Challenging behaviour, Learning disability

Registrations and professional qualifications: Fully accredited Psychologist and Registered Psychotherapist. Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
