The name of the classes for pupils with autistic spectrum disorders are Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped CHildren (TEACCH) classes. The classes in the school are organised according to appropriate learning environments. Pupils with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are educated in TEACCH structured classes and are encouraged to move into mixed groups when appropriate and pupils are deemed able to cope in a less structured environment. School staff are given regular training on TEACCH and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and there is a School-Home Integration Project (SHIP) for parents requiring support.
