Main information

Type of service: Interventions and therapies, Social groups, Social skills

.

Reach North West is a Bolton based voluntary community group welcoming all from Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

.

We run courses and workshops for children, parents & professionals; providing early intervention or specialised intervention for children on the autism spectrum, ages 2-16yrs old. Our aim is to help children with autism and learning difficulties to learn communication, social, play & self help skills. We also support those with challenging behaviours through our courses and workshops..

.

The club is overseen by a parent of a child with autism as well as professionals in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), an evidence-based teaching methodology which uses the child's own individual motivations to teach them new skills. Every child has individualised targets to meet their needs. .

Course fees are kept at affordably low levels for parents and some workshops are free. .

We also provide community outings for children like monthly bowling and also parent/carer time with our monthly 'Let's do Lunch' .
