Red Mat provides specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder or who struggle with social interaction. We have proven success and specialism working with young people living with autism spectrum conditions. We also have a proven success of working with young people who are diagnosed with an attachment disorder. Our service works holistically with young people with diagnosed or undiagnosed social and communication difficulties.

Our OT, Steph Snowball, will use standardised and informal observation to create therapeutic programmes which meet individual needs. All intervention with young people and parents/carers is aimed at; improving understanding of the challenges faced by themselves and each other; improving their confidence, skills and relationships.

Red Mat can also provide parent training sessions, and training for professionals on understanding autism and other topics.
