Rodney House is an assessment provision for young children whose development is causing concern. Approximately a third of the school's population have an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Rodney House is an autism friendly school where the children with ASD are educated in all the classes alongside their peers. A range of teaching strategies are used throughout the school to support children's needs, including visual timetables and picture exchange communication system (PECS). Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Another facility offered by the school is a sensory garden.
