The child development centre offers assessment, diagnosis and interventions for children with a range of physical and learning disabilities. The Social Communication Disorders Assessment Service (SCoDAS) is run by a multi-disciplinary team which is based at the centre and at the Clinical Psychology Department of the Derbyshire Children's Hospital.
Assessment procedure: Assessment by Paediatrician and/or Psychologist together with communication assessment and input from education.
Follow up service: Yes, if medical, communication or psychological needs.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, Clinical Psychology, Paediatrics, Speech and Language Therapy, information from education is always obtained when available.
