This is a multidisciplinary, multi-agency, multi-location assessment and diagnostic service for children aged 0-5 years in Rotherham.
Assessment procedure: Health practitioner referral leads to a multidisciplinary assessment at the Child Development Centre. Further assessment may take place at home and in an early years setting where applicable.
Follow up service: Parent information workshops and speech and language therapy input into the local education department's Autism Communication Team.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes: Clinical psychologist, paediatrics, speech and language therapy, teacher, occupational therapist, nursery nurses, physiotherapy, children's nurse.
