Salisbury Autistic Care Limited is an autism-specific service provider, offering bespoke and person-centred supported living, day service and residential programmes for individuals within the autism spectrum. Extended services include outreach, employment, respite (short breaks), and holiday opportunities. We aim to deliver resources and opportunities to enable individuals to maximise strengths while helping them to live in a safe, motivating and engaging environment. Our service is available to individuals who display a high level of challenging behaviour, and those with a variety of complex needs who require diligent care and support within the framework of a progressive life-long learning environment. We place strong emphasis on learning, development and the rights of individuals, and employ a huge variety of complementary, social and communication interventions to encourage the necessary skills to engage in an independent lifestyle at home, within the general community, and through access to multi-disciplinary team and a wide variety of visiting professionals. Our team provide a baseline 1:1 support level, with each individual allocated their own keyworker, and further support available as needed. Staff receive training on techniques including makaton, BSL, PECS, life skills and one-to-one interaction to increase social and communication understanding. We aim to improve quality of life through provision of facilities through objectives.
