Main information

Type of service: Diagnostic services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

Diagnostic service for children and young people up to the age of 16 and living in the Borders area. Multi-disciplinary diagnosis including: clinical psychologist, paediatrics, psychiatry, speech and language therapy, occupational therapist, music therapist, art therapist and spectrum support (education). Follow-up by consultant, occupational therapy and music/art therapy if required.

Assessment procedure: Parent / guardian interview; assessments by occupational therapist and music therapist if required; child assessment involving all team members.

Follow up service: Follow-up by consultant, occupational therapy if required, music and art therapy if required.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Clinical Psychologist, paediatrics, psychiatry, speech and language therapy, occupational therapist, music therapist, art therapist, spectrum support (education).

Age: From age 2 to 16
