SenseCere
Main information
Type of service: Training providers, Training providers
Sensecere's view of learning is to create personal experience and reflection, hands on activites within all its training both in the Family Workshops and the Practitioners Workshops. The Workshops offer an insightful, interactive and fun way to learn about how the senses effect our children. This idea came from the Proprietor's personal experience initially as a Parent who has a child with additional needs. After gaining training as a Teacher in the Lifelong learning Sector she wanted to apply this skill and share what she learnt through “doing” packaging her strategies and ideas within workshops. She had lived and breathed the endless daily battles with her son. Battles which completely engulfed family life. However what wasn't known then was that so many of his anxieties were of a sensory nature. .
Participants will gain insights as to how the senses play a part in affecting the reactions of some children with Additional Needs. Sensecere offers Family workshops currently in Eastleigh and Fareham in Hampshire. Each workshop offers the children a chance for exploration of a different sense and a mix of activites to match their needs, always supported by understanding staff. This gives an insight and a chance for the child or young person to reflect on there own experiences. Parents and Carers will engage in their own learning experience as a group separately. The Practitioners workshops offer a besoke in house training opportunity for Professionals.
