The Shared Lives scheme helps many people, including people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities and older people. It is a flexible and unique arrangement offering support from a few hours a week - a session, a short break or providing a long-term home for someone. Shared Lives works by matching the person needing support with a Shared Lives carer recruited from the community who can give them the support they need.
