Sherwood View
Main information
Type of service: Residential services
Sherwood View has all the facilities you would expect in a family home, with the benefits of being purpose built and offering a spacious, comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable environment: Facilities include a T.V. lounge, a large domestic style kitchen, a longue/dining room, which provides an additional outdoor space for relaxing. A newly designed sensory room is available to support residents. .
By ensuring we offer no more than five placements in an extremely spacious, safe and secure homely environment, and by providing appropriate levels of staff support, Sherwood View has been designed to offer flexibility to residents, facilitating their personal growth and development in a structured learning and therapeutic environment. To this aim we offer residents a fully person centred approach, supporting the development of a lifestyle that is personally satisfying and meaningful to them. Residents can join in a range of activities organised within the home including craft evenings - crafts, painting and drawing, Video / DVD nights, takeaway evenings, BBQs, music evenings, and games nights (play station, video games, cards, etc). Residents are also supported to access facilities that are available within the local community including a small but vibrant village centre with traditionally named stores, sports facilities and a local library. Nottingham, our local city can be accessed by public transport from within the village, thus providing a wide range of support options. .
