Show and Go are personalised books which are created easily and quickly online by parents and carers of people with autism spectrum disorders and related communication problems. Show and Go books are not social stories™, although you can create a social story™ using the books. Parents use their own pictures and words to create personalised books, online, which we print and mail out. People with ASD are visual thinkers and learners and “Show and Go” books capitalise on this positive strength for everyday communication. The books are used for visual support to create a calmer environment and help manage daily routines and activities which can often result in difficult situations. It could be anything. Going shopping, getting ready for school, visiting the dentist, or as simple as cutting nails. The possibilities are endless and limited only by the imagination.
