Offers diagnostic and specialist intervention services for children and young people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Assessment procedure: Interview with parents using DISCO/ADI-R/3Di. Psychological assessment of the child including a play session and cognitive assessment. Video of the child in clinic, educational setting and sometimes home. Referral to a specialist Speech and Language Therapist may also be made where appropriate.
Follow up service: Yes.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, professions involved: Clinical psychology, speech and language therapy and paediatrics; will also contact education for appropriate reports and involve other professionals as necessary.
