Southfield is a purpose-built primary school for children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD). We cater for children in the age range 4 to 11 years and have 75 places. Our children with an autism spectrum condition (ASC) are taught alongside their peers in the age appropriate class. The school is located in South Hatfield. Hertfordshire County Council is the Admissions Authority for the school. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. The school uses aspects of the Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low arousal, Links (SPELL) framework.
