SPARC

Main information

Type of service: Diagnostic services

SPARC is an innovative project bringing together leading clinicians, leading academics from the University of Birmingham, and the regional charity Autism West Midlands. It provides specialist diagnosis and assessment for adults with autism or suspected autism, and a seamless link to advice and signposting services in the same building. SPARC is being set up as a charity with a Board including clinicians, academics, and representatives from commissioners. It is located in the Autism West Midlands offices at Regent Court in George Road, Edgbaston. In order to get a referral to SPARC, the GP needs to make a referral to the local commissioner in order for funding to be agreed. Once this has been decided the client will be passed over to SPARC and we will begin the assessment process.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes - Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Speech and Language Therapy and others.
