Speakeasy Advocacy exists to give a voice and support to adults with learning difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder and/or Asperger's syndrome, and also children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders/Asperger's syndrome and their parents. It will accept referrals from children with ADHD/ADD, but ONLY if they also have a diagnosis of autism. Speakeasy grew out of local advocacy service, and has been providing advocacy in the area for over 10 years. It is an independent charity, supported by grants from the 'Lottery' and community fund. It runs self-advocacy groups for adults with learning disabilities, and 'Internet Explorers', a group for young people who have Asperger's syndrome.
