St John Vianney School is a Catholic co-education specialist school for pupils from early years to 19 years old with autism, learning difficulties (LD) and complex needs. The school is located in Trafford in the Salford Diocese and serves pupils from the Greater Manchester and Cheshire areas. All learners have a full statement of educational needs. Approximately thirty per cent of our pupils have an autism spectrum condition (ASC), depending on their need they are educated in specific ASC groups or in mixed group. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. We use students from Manchester University and Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). Religious Education (RE) is taught to all pupils throughout the school. Other facilities offered by the school are a design technology room, vocational training cafe (kitchen and dining area), hair and beauty room, bicycle maintenance room, Home Management Centre, chapel and Key Stage 4 (KS4) and KS5 recreational rooms. Another intervention, approach and programme offered by the school is Jabadao.
