Main information

Type of service: Day schools, Nursery and pre-schools, Residential schools, Schools

St. Rose's provides integrated education, therapeutic day, residential and respite care for children and young people from 2-25. At St Rose's we believe in education for all, without barriers. All students follow a personalised learning programme. For the students with ASD, education follows a structured TEACCH approach to learning which embraces personalised learning. We have individual work areas and everyone follows a schedule to keep their day as predictable as possible. The class has a high staff to student ratio, and we keep the class size small. The staff remain with the group throughout the day in order to minimise change and ensure a consistent approach. The group remains class based too. This structured approach to learning extends to all areas and includes education, residential care and therapy provision.
