States of Jersey - Special Needs Service (SNS), Day Services
Main information
Type of service: Day services
We provide support Monday to Friday for people with Learning disabilities and Autism from our main building based at five oaks Le Geyt, and several satellite bases around the island. Le Geyt and two of our other bases support groups of people with Learning disabilities and those people with Autism who can function well within these areas. For those who are unable to be a part of groups due to aspects of life that having Autism makes challenging, they are supported by individual teams of staff who have developed bespoke packages of support based on the needs of each individual. We work to provide direct support to individuals to engage in meaningful opportunities within the community, and work to support every individual in a person centred way so that they receive the service they need, want and enjoy. Referrals must be submitted via the States of Jersey Social Work Team who will contact SNS Day Services. The referral will then be matched against our criteria to ascertain whether we are the correct service, and whether it is in the best interests of the person concerned to attend or not.
