Autism Together provides Step into Work Plus, a programme which helps people with Asperger syndrome who are looking for full or part time employment.

This programme runs over 24 weeks and includes the opportunity for students to work on literacy, numeracy, ICT and general life skills together with a 12 week work based placement and a 4 week follow up. Staff offer students support and guidance throughout their work based placement by regular review sessions and visits to the work place. They work closely with employers to ensure a happy and successful work placement for the students.

Step into Work Plus takes a holistic and tailored approach to each student and includes coaching in employment skills, such as understanding how to dress smartly and how shop, handle money, take part in social events and travel on public transport.
