Sunnybank is a detached, modernised bungalow situated in a picturesque rural environment approximately six miles from Gloucester city centre and the nearby Forest of Dean. It is a supportive living home for three people with learning disabilities and associated complex needs, including eating disorders and Prader Willi Syndrome. Accommodation in the main bungalow includes three single bedrooms, a lounge/dining room, bathroom and kitchen. The attached annexe contains a large bed/sitting room, bathroom and small kitchen. The staff at Sunnybank maintain an active and enabling role within a friendly, homely environment. Service users enjoy the pleasure of having pets, and are actively encouraged to be responsible for them. Everyone is encouraged to increase their independence, continue education at the local college and seek appropriate employment, which is the 'goal' for each resident living at the home. Whilst every use is made of public transport, the home has its own transport for a variety of recreational and educational trips and activities in the community. Sunnybank has safe gardens and there are picturesque views over the Forest of Dean and the hills beyond.
