Supported Volunteering in the Stroud district

Main information

Type of service: Outreach

The service provides tailor-made support to individuals with support needs who wish to volunteer. Potential volunteers are supported to identify what they would like to do, and to find a suitable vacancy with an organisation in the district. Support may include help with paperwork, accompaniment to meet the organisation, ongoing support to retain the placement etc, but it will vary from person to person according to their individual needs. There may also be places available in two small groups run by the coordinator: a gardening group and, a craft group.
