Castle Care's business is the provision of residential care for children and young people aged 8-18 years of age. The Castle Care group has 40 plus residential homes across England and Wales which provide a spectrum of needs led services. These include mainstream (generic) intensive support to those with complex emotional and behavioural issues as well as more specialist services which include the treatment and assessment of male sex offenders, and care packages for children with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders. Services range from group homes with four to five beds, which provide medium to long-term placements with education, to small homes providing 1:1 to 2:1 care, generally for short-term placements, i.e. under 12 months. Main practise is the provision of education and care for children and young people. Referrals are usually made by Social Services through a referral process which is open to all interested parties who may be involved in the identification of a suitable placement for a young person. Castle Care operate a 24 hour emergency service which responds quickly and efficiently to any enquiry or need.
