The school has an Autism Resource Base funded for 12 students. The Base is available for non-structured times such as lunch and breaktimes. Social skills lessons are allocated as well as a speech and language therapist, offering withdrawal or support in lessons. Volunteer Teaching Assistants (TAs) who shadow other TAs may be accepted to work with the pupils. Volunteers only accepted if Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked and are autism spectrum disorder (ASD) aware. Another facility offered by the school is lunchtime medication (eg Antolin). From September 2014 we will be resourced for 15 students.
