Type of service: Residential services, Respite and short breaks

The Cottage is a residential home for adults with a learning disability. Service users are offered collage courses to help them gain more independent life skills. The service organises its own disco on festive events to meet over service users in the local area. Two nights a week people go to an evening activities club with music and games to meet and talk to new people. During the summer months they have access to a boat on a lake and can take a holiday at a wheelchair accessible caravan in a Haven holiday camp. There are weekly meetings to discuss choices and activities. More capable individuals can gain employment in the local community.
