Main information
Type of service: Residential services, Respite and short breaks
The Gables provides care support for up to nine adults who have complex or specialist care needs, including autism, epilepsy, Down's Syndrome and dementia. We are registered with the National Autistic Society and working towards their accreditation. We are also a research member of the Epilepsy Society. We work in partnership with many local authorities up and down the country and have considerable experience in managing out-of-county placements. The Gables is registered with the Care Quality Commission, to provide services for adults with learning disabilities. Our registration includes services for autism and personal care.
What we can offer in addition to Residential Care: The Gables provides respite and holiday breaks for adults with learning disabilities. Our staff are qualified and competent, and provide support as well as care for the duration of the stay - we ensure they have an enjoyable holiday. People enjoying a holiday or respite with us can access the local community or enjoy the many tourist attractions such as Butlins and Skegness. Our wheelchair-accessible passenger vehicle and 'people carrier' are utilised for these trips, and we can also pick up our guests from and return them to their home at the start and end of their holiday.
