The Island Project

The purpose of the island Project is to offer a unique alternative farm based educational service for children and young people who, because of their varying complex needs, cannot attend full time mainstream school OR are at risk at age16+ of being classified as NEET (Not in education, employment or training) The Island Project currently offers placements to children and young adults Aged 9 - 18years, (within a grouped age, of no more than 5 yrs. age difference). The project's aim is to provide an innovative and comprehensive programme, which will incorporate skilled learning and practical development and Academic qualifications within a farming and agricultural setting.
