The Loyne Specialist School caters for a wide range of learning difficulties for pupils aged 2-19 years. Pupils with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are educated in small mixed groups with high staffing ratios. Pupils are generally grouped by age. Many staff have additional qualifications in autism and provide training to mainstream and other special schools colleagues. All full-time pupils have regular inclusive learning links at local schools, colleges or early years settings. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
