'The Next Step' is an empowering employment support programme for young people and adults with social communication skills issues such as those associated with an autism spectrum disorder. Through 1 - 2 hourly sessions 'The Next Step' focuses on areas such as:
Finding the right job/training for you
Raising motivation, confidence and self - esteem in preparation for the work place
Controlling 'anxiety' related to interviews and the workplace
Social communication skills strategies in order to help you flourish in the workplace
Managing the challenges of an autism spectrum disorder in the work environment
Your Next Step consultant will also liaise with potential employers to help them establish reasonable adjustments to help you settle into your workplace. The fees for the Next Step are £10 - £20 per person per session. For one to one support the fees are £50 per session. For further information visit www.inspiringprogress.org.uk.
