The Priory Radstock (formerly Rookery Radstock) provides specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions for adults with Asperger's syndrome or autism who are aged 18 upwards.The service successfully transitions young people from specialist education to adult care services. The Priory Radstock also offer a diagnostic service offering a comprehensive assessment of individuals where autistic spectrum disorder is suspected. The larger residence, Rookery House, offers intensive and comprehensive treatment and care by experienced staff. Service users can then step down to smaller facilities where they experience less supervision and more independence whilst maintaining a strong link to the care team. Located in Radstock, Somerset, with a wide range of amenities nearby, the service is ideally located for safe, structured steps towards greater independence. We provide education, independence, social skills and therapeutic programmes designed to enable the individual to progress towards more independent living. Our services include: Planned outcome of transition into more independent setting; Individual social, personal and educational development programmes; Therapy programmes; Strategies to assist with anxieties; Support in work and college placements; Preparation for employment or higher education; Opportunities to integrate into community life; 52 week provision. The Priory Radstock and its residential houses provide accommodation for 27 adults.
