The Rainbow Project is a specialist, supportive childminding environment for children on the autism spectrum between the ages of 2 and 5 years. I provide tailored 1:1 (or occasionally 1:2) early intervention, teaching and support for pre-school children on (or suspected of being on) the autism spectrum, as well as following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. The implementation of this incorporates a wide range of approaches, including: Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Visual supports, Intensive Interaction, Behavioural methods, Makaton and Aspects of Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support (SCERTS).
