Type of service: Day schools, Outreach - education, Schools

The Thomas Hardye School is a 13-18 years comprehensive school serving Dorchester and surrounding area. We were awarded a second specialism in special educational needs (SEN) in April 2007. Our chosen strand within the SEN specialism is communication and interaction. Through our SEN specialism we work with all 18 Dorchester Area Schools Partnership (DASP) schools supporting students from the ages of 4 to 18. The role of the Communication and Interaction Co-ordinator is to support students, schools and parents with speech, language and communication difficulties through the DASP pyramid.
