The Woodhouse hospital
Main information
Type of service: Hospital services, Residential services
The Woodhouse hospital is a 48-bed care home facility that provides a specialist treatment and rehabilitation service for men with complex conditions and challenging behaviours in small, gender specific units. Many patients at The Woodhouse present with co-morbid conditions such as mental health problems, personality disorder and forensic histories. The units are staffed independently by a dedicated team of nurses and support workers and can offer locked rehabilitation when required. Case formulation and treatment is led by a full clinical multidisciplinary team.
There are three clinical pathways as The Woodhouse hospital. These are an autistic spectrum condition pathway, a sexualised behaviour pathway and a low secure pathway. The range of units on the site also allows a care pathway to be provided for each person so that they are able to move progressively to smaller and more independent units prior to discharge back into the community.
