Time To Shine Kids

Main information

Type of service: Interventions and therapies

We are “Time To Shine Kids” a not for profit organisation dedicated to supporting children and young people who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We also extend our support to individuals with learning needs and people who have reduced attention levels and lower concentration spans. Our organisation offers an outdoor experiential therapeutic intervention with horses. This therapy is known as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. This special therapy uses the EAGALA model an abbreviation for - Equine Assisted Growth & Learning Association. At “Time To Shine Kids” we support these children and young individuals as well as their families to address challenges, to enable emotion regulation and to also improve relationships and build resilience. All of our sessions are from the ground (No Horse Riding) and no previous experience with horses is required. The sessions are facilitated by a qualified mental health professional and an Equine specialist in partnership with the horses.
