We provide statutory and community advocacy to people who may have lived experience of: .
- Mental ill health
- Learning disabilities
- Autism spectrum conditions
Our advocacy services are available to anyone above the age of 18. We have no upper age limit. In cases where advocacy is not suitable, we would always signpost to the most appropriate service. .
The types of advocacy services we provide are:.
- Community advocacy for people with autism spectrum conditions or learning disabilities.
- Self-advocacy - support for people with learning disabilites in setting up and running self advoacy groups
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy for people who live in Wakefield.
- NHS complaints advocacy
We also provide mentoring services for people on the autism spectrum, provided they have no other diagnosis, such as a learning disability or a mental health condition..
