Type of service: Advocacy (legal)

The service provides free general and specialist legal advice and assistance on all general education queries including: exclusions (fixed term and permanent); special educational needs (SEN) - the statementing process, (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) SENDS appeals, annual reviews, transport requests, representation at SENDS tribunals; school admissions and appeals; bullying; complaints to schools, colleges, universities, local education authority; further and higher education matters, ie education maintenance allowance (EMA), withdrawals from course and eligibility as home students.
