True Access is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to increase the life quality of young people and adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities and other health conditions. Whether your diagnosis is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, Asperger syndrome, dyspepsia, special educational needs (SEN), hidden disabilities, mental health, wheelchair user or use of other mobility aids or have dual disability, True Access are confident in catering to your needs. Our company offers young adults opportunities to take part in many activities such as, night clubbing events, workshops, social events, day trips and group holidays. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to take part and enjoy life whether they have a disability or not. Our services will allow those to fulfil some of their dreams and aspirations by taking part in exciting new activities that may have not been possible due to a number of hindering social factors. Ultimately, we want our clients to feel in control and have autonomy over their own lives, gaining independence, achieving outcomes and increasing well-being. We have been organising and holding events for our clients since October 2015. We like to go to different places such as, spa weekends, to Cadbury's World and to a range of shows in Wembley and O2 Arenas. Night Clubbing: The aim of the True Access club nights is to give our clients the same opportunity to dance the night away to their favourite songs and experience a night club atmosphere. We provide access to nightlife on a monthly basis. Our first social event was hosted in January 2016 at The Cabbage Patch in Twickenham which was a huge success. We will also be organising nights out in London's West End and holding night clubbing events in Kingston Hippodrome. Holidays: True Access organise group holidays and work with a travel agent to finalise arrangements and to ensure everything is prepared for our arrival. Activities: We plan fun activities for the holidays, weekends and occasionally some evenings. At True Access we enjoy going to various places such as the theatre, cinema, bowling, festivals, and live concerts. Further information can be found on our events calendar on our website. Workshops: True Access workshops are aimed to increase awareness and improve life skills increasing the independence in our young people's lives. This workshops cover drug and alcohol awareness, sex education, accessing further education training and work experience, cooking and other independent life skills workshops. True Access will be holding other events to give our adults a chance to socialise, meet new people eg speed dating. The majority of our volunteers are experienced young people who wish to make a positive contribution to society, they bring positive energy to our team and take high interest on what our clients want. True Access also provide opportunities for its members to get involved behind the scenes with voluntary and sometimes even paid work. We love working alongside our resident DJ (who has additional needs), who really knows how to get the party started. Membership is open to adults (18+ years) with mild to moderate learning disabilities, physical disabilities or other health conditions and you are welcome to join at any time. Membership forms are available on our website..
